Painting relating to Post-Memory
This year my main focus will be looking at the notions of time and memory relating to family memories. Already I have discovered a backlog of personal photographs that date back as far as the year 1908.
Memories and family life is a subject that has always intrigued me, so naturally I wanted to learn more about my past. The photographs were sourced from an old relative that suffers with dementia. So naturally I started working with the concept of the distortion of images.
